Teacher-learner engagements in the classroom may involve students with discussion, debates, peer interaction and shared learning experiences. However, it is not enough, if students have to be prepared for life and career. Mere theoretical knowledge will be insufficient to meet the requirements of a global work environment. Therefore, educational institutions have felt it relevant to encourage students to seek internship opportunities in industry and NGOs for them to apply the academic concepts in a real-life setting. In the last few years, Disha Bharat has offered internship opportunities to students to facilitate experiential learning and provide direction for meaningful community engagement.
