WHY DISHA….
Education sector has received tremendous impetus in recent times. With both government and private players active in the field, several educational institutions have mushroomed. The effect being larger youth are getting educated, fulfilling their materialistic pursuits through lucrative employment.
However, the larger question remains: Has education truly contributed to building inner strength and character of individuals leading to a positive social transformation? Is the world a better place to live than ever before?
The answer is a definite NO. The missing factor is “EMPHASIS ON CORE VALUES“. Today’s system focuses on the 3 Rs’- Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. This gears students to compete in the job market, but leaves them inadequately equipped to face the challenges of life.
Need of the hour….
There is a compelling need to evolve a more holistic approach, an enriching blend of academics and value initiatives. A profound understanding of this great country and its glorious culture forms the very foundation of value education. Imparting these time tested values is what makes education complete.
This wholesome approach helps youngsters evolve into better human beings with character, integrity and social responsibility. These strong values are the bedrock on which a nation can progress towards prosperity and peace.
Introducing DISHA
DISHA is non-profit social initiative (started in 2005) that aims to plug this vital gap. Using value education as a vehicle, DISHA endeavors to guide and catalyze young minds to carry forward the rich and glorious legacy of our nation.
The workshop conducted by DISHA, Focus on three aspects:

- KNOW YOUR CULTURE
