Disha Bharat marked its 20th-year anniversary with a momentous event which was held at R V Teachers College Auditorium Bengaluru. The program witnessed heart filled testimonials from all stake holders including students, trustees, guiding council members and volunteers, highlighting the organization’s work in the field of value education.
The stage was adorned by the Chairman of UGC Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar and the guiding council members Dr. Gururaja Karajagi, Chairman-ACT, Prof.B Mahadevan, professor, IIM Bangalore. The dais was also shared by Prof. N V Raghuram, President, Disha Bharat, Sri V Nagraj, Founding trustee, Disha Bharat and Smt Rekha Ramachandran, founder and secretary, Disha Bharat.
Speaking on the occasion Sri V Nagaraj welcomed the gathering and highlighted the need for Disha Bharat in the field of value education. Smt Rekha Ramachandran shared her thoughts on Disha Bharat’s journey.
Dr Gururaj Karajagi expressed his wishes and his support in strengthening the organisation. He also said that Disha Bharat is playing a vital role in enriching the lives of youngsters.
Dr B Mahadevan shared his views and vision for Disha Bharat growth trajectory. He emphasized the need to compliment the initiatives through digital support.
Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar Chairman-UGC, envisioned Vikasit Bharat 2047 and the role of different stakeholders in fulfilling the goal. He was very appreciative of the initiatives of Disha Bharat.
Disha Bharat has come up with 15 events throughout the year for different stakeholders of education, the UGC chairman launched the yearlong events.
Thought for the Day and MyBHARAT books compiled by our trustee Sri Rajesh Padmar was released.
From a humble beginning of 30 students Disha Bharat has impacted more than 4 lakh students as of now and yet counting, because of the support of the Vice Chancellors, Principals, guiding council members and various institutional heads who are an integral part the organizational growth. Disha Bharat expressed its gratitude by hounouring all of them.
Sri N V Raghuram delivered the presidential address, the compering of the event was done by Smt Sneha Damle, Dr Hemant, trustee, rendered vote of thanks.
More than 400 participants and enthusiastic volunteers attended the event. The program ended on a very high and positive note.
