Disha Programs – July & August 2019 – Report
Disha is a non-profit social initiative (started in 2005) that focuses on imparting values and necessary skills for the development of holistic personality of youth. The vision of Disha is to “Transform Youth to Transform Nation”. The programs of Disha revolve around the theme “Know Your Self, Know Your Country and Know Your Culture“. This helps youngsters evolve into better human beings thereby enabling them to become the catalysts of social change.
Highlights of Disha Programs:

Disha conducted the following programs in the last 2 months:
- Holistic Personality Development Workshops:
- Orientation Programs in UG/PG Colleges – One-day program that help students prepare their minds to pursue their student life with dedication by overcoming distractions, with a sense of responsibility. The program motivates students to seek and find meaning and purpose- in their education and their role as citizens of India.

- Induction Programs in Engineering Colleges based on AICTE/VTU guidelines– One day to Four-day workshop designed for freshers. The modules focus on Personal Enrichment and Professional Excellence by covering the following requisites: Nationality, Human Values, Soft Skills and, Social Responsibility. This will strengthen individuals and thereby strengthening the nation.

- Level 1 Workshops – One-day workshops are conducted to sensitize the students about the importance of value-based life on the foundation of the great heritage of Bharat. The workshop motivates students to make use of their college life to enrich their lives for the betterment of society.
- Level 2 Workshops – One-day workshops are conducted to make students lead a harmonious life with oneself, family and society. The sessions are designed for the holistic development of students and face the challenges of life with positive attitude.
